Dr Ziad Bahaa Eldin will provide an analytical briefing on the Egyptian Government's recent economic and legislative developments in light of the agreement with the IMF, and the government’s economic policies.
Dr Bahaa Eldin, who will be on a wider visit to the United Kingdom, is one of Egypt's most eminent legal and financial figures. During 2013-14, he held the positions of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Economic Development and Minister of International Cooperation in the Egyptian Government. Previously, he was senior legal advisor to the Central Bank of Egypt and is now a member of the Boards of HSBC Egypt and of the National Bank of Egypt. He is also Director of the Egyptian Initiative for the Prevention of Corruption.
This will be a privileged briefing by an Egyptian Government insider who can provide rare insights on current policies and their implications.
