The Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce and Egyptian British Business Council have the pleasure to invite you to join us at a Breakfast Briefing with Egypt's Vice Minister of Finance, Mr Ahmed Kouchouk at 08.45am for a 9am start on Tuesday 12 September 2017, at the Waterloo Room of the Institute of Directors (IoD) at 116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED.
Mr Kouchouk will speak about Egypt's economic reform, the 2017/18 budget, macroeconomic and fiscal implications, medium term prospects, and provide the audience with an update on IMF and G7 support.
About the Speaker
Mr Ahmed Kouchouk was appointed Egypt's Vice Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies and Institutional Reform in March 2016. He is a professional economist and policy advisor with more than 13 years of applied experience.
Before assuming his current post, Mr Kouchouk worked for the World Bank from June 2013 to March 2016 as a Senior Economist based in Cairo. His responsibilities included monitoring and reviewing Egypt’s macroeconomic stance and developments, and assessing the country’s economic policies and their implications.
During his career, Mr Kouchouk has represented the Government of Egypt in a number of international fora including the Deauville Partnership and the International Monetary and Financial Committee, as well as playing a leading role in IMF discussions.
The event will start at 9am and finish at 1030am. Coffee, tea and croissants will be served from 08.45am.
